Rus is proud to represent Lizzi Marriott's family in a case that victims' rights advocates across the country are watching closely that could redefine the way victims of violent crime are represented in the courtroom. In June, the New Hampshire Supreme Court  ordered records unsealed concerning the sexual past of Lizzi Marriott, a University of New Hampshire student who was raped and murdered in 2012. The five NH Supreme Court justices soon after stayed their decision, and a hearing is scheduled for September on whether the records should remain sealed. For the first time, the court has granted the Marriott family the right to be represented in the process by their own attorney.
